Evelyn Diane Taylor is an Associate at SIS. She is the former Chief of Staff for the National PTA who managed operations in 2010, during the organization’s headquarters relocation from Chicago to Alexandria, Virginia. Ms. Taylor served in other roles during her career spanning two and a half decades in areas such as public relations, event planning, and broadcasting. From 1989 to 1997, she was Director of Communications for Junior Achievement Inc. in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and in 1997 she began advocating for children in foster care through her work at Catholic Charities of the Pikes Peak Region and the El Paso County Department of Human Services. In her role as Executive Director for Parents Challenge, a privately funded nonprofit organization, Ms. Taylor worked bipartisan education reform efforts from 2000-2008 to empower children and families in Colorado who are underserved with educational opportunities. Most recently, she has been working with a group of parents and education advocates as Chief Strategist for the National Family Engagement Alliance (NFEA), based in Clinton, Maryland.
